Sarah Hanuka, Director of Education

Sarah Hanuka, Director of Education, was born and raised in Haifa, Israel, where she served in the Israeli Navy. Since joining Temple Sholom four years ago, Sarah has used her unique talent to energize our Religious School curriculum, creating a highly recognized and innovative Hebrew Program, as well as a fun and inspirational High School Youth Program. Sarah’s philosophy of Jewish Education is simple: Teach Judaism to the heart! Make children feel! Teach children to look at the world through Jewish eyes! If they love it, they will want to know more and more! Sarah also works with Rimma Khodosh, our Director of Gan Shalom, to assure the excellence of our preschool program. Sarah and her husband, Jonathan, have two daughters, Zahava and Tahl, of whom they are extremely proud.
