Crown Family High Schools Students Visit Israel

On June 15, 2005, a group of 12 of Temple Sholom’s Crown Family High School students embarked on a 14-day trip to Israel led by Sarah Hanuka and Dan Rabinowitz. On the trip, the group toured the country, prayed in all of the Holy places, met Israeli teenagers and soldiers, swam in every sea from the Kinneret to the Red Sea, and followed the story of modern Israel.

On our trip, we rode camels in the Negev Desert, went digging for archaeological treasures at Kibbutz Bet Guvrin, swam in the Kinneret, explored the Caves of Timnah near Eilat, visited the Latrun Artillery Musuem, and finally, we visited the Cemetery of Kibbutz Kinneret, where many of the great Israeli poets are buried, such as Rachel and Naomi Shemer.
